The RoHS directive, implemented by the EU in July 2006, severely limits the use of six hazardous substances - including lead (Pb) - in products shipped to the European Union (EU). Producers, generally defined as those whose brand names appear on the product, are fully accountable for ensuring that their products are compliant. According to some provisions of this directive, failure to comply with the requirements "will result in the removal of manufacturers' products from the market place." Symphony provides training and consulting services that can help you address this requirement in the most cost-effective manner, utilizing industry best practices.

“Symphony Consulting provided us with the resources that we needed as we sorted through the maze of RoHS/WEEE compliance implementation. We found our consultant to be knowledgeable, informative and thorough as we waded through issues such as document control, vendor auditing, due diligence and risk assessments. The advice that we got from Symphony has had a positive effect on our operation and was not just limited to supply chain management. By becoming more aware of strategies and techniques of managing data and relationships with customers and vendors, we have been able to streamline a number of other processes as well. Their cooperation, diligence and expertise have truly helped to crystallize the issues and tasks at hand.” – Dan Sheldon, CEO, Sheldon Manufacturing
