Whether
you are currently outsourcing a portion of your manufacturing
to China or considering doing so, this workshop is designed to
deliver measurable value to your company. Offshore sourcing carries
with it risks and complexities that are far from trivial, although
it may initially appear otherwise. Some of the challenges you
can face include assessing the total landed cost of building your
products in China; the risks associated with inventory liability,
intellectual property protection, and counterfeiting; transportation/logistics
issues; and the important differences in managing suppliers abroad.
The end result can be painful business surprises that strain organizational
resources and impact COGS, revenues, and time-to-market.
"Outsourcing
Manufacturing to China: Cost Modeling, Risk Mitigation, and Supplier
Management" is a comprehensive, one-day workshop
that helps you create a cost model for manufacturing your products
offshore and shows you how to develop an implementation plan that
reduces transition risk. You will also learn how to manage and
negotiate effectively with your suppliers for long-term success.
This workshop combines best practices in outsourcing with specific
insights and recommendations needed to successfully deal with
the unique cultural and business dimensions of doing business
