What is China RoHS and how is it different from EU RoHS?
What are the requirements that will go into effect on March 1, 2007?
What key steps should you take between now and then?
Although China RoHS has some similarities with its EU counterpart, the scope and implementation differences are significant enough to warrant a distinct, focused approach. One notable difference, for example, is the definition of “placed on the market”. In the EU, this generally meant the time that a product transfers title to a European entity. In China, this is defined as the time that the last transaction places the product in the hands of the end user, which means that your products must be compliant well in advance of this date. With the March 1, 2007 date imposing strict marking requirements on electronic products, companies need to act quickly to ensure they can continue to sell their products in China.
This 90-minute online workshop, "China RoHS Overview: What you must do as of March 1, 2007" is tailored to provide you with the requirements of China RoHS and what steps you need to take now and in the future to ensure compliance.
What you will learn:
| | Compare the EU and China RoHS directives side by side |
| | Understand the product marking requirements that will go into effect on March 1, 2007 |
| | Learn about your obligations as an OEM, EMS provider, or component supplier
|
| Identify which product types are within the scope of China RoHS |
| |
Find out what the next phase of China ’s RoHS implementation is expected to look like |
Who should attend:
Individuals across all functions and departments who need to gain a full and complete understanding of China RoHS and its impact on their business and products.
