Online RoHS Workshops from Symphony Consulting:

What are the short-term and long-term impacts
of RoHS/WEEE on Your Business?

How can you accelerate transition of your products
without compromising product quality and reliability?

How will you validate and demonstrate compliance
to your customers and to the EU?

Products shipped to the EU after July 2006 must comply with the European RoHS directive (PDF). Similar requirements will also appear in China, Taiwan, Japan, several US states, and around the world. The supply chain turmoil in the outsourced electronics supply chain will affect all hardware companies, even those that are exempt.

Recognizing that companies need to execute quickly, leverage from best practices, and avoid common mistakes, Symphony Consulting has launched a five-part series of online RoHS Workshops to help you learn about starting, implementing and maintaining a RoHS compliance program. These 90-minute workshops are designed to give you quick, valuable information on the various phases of transitioning to RoHS and other similar global environmental compliance mandates.

RoHS V:
"Key Strategies for Auditing Suppliers and Modifying Your Contracts"

Although collecting Certificates of Compliance is an important step in your RoHS compliance efforts, it is by no means enough to demonstrate due diligence. Your suppliers are not equal in terms of performance and each one presents a different level of risk.

This 90-miunte workshop is structured to help you decide how to segment your suppliers, take a differentiated approach towards assessing risk, and conduct an audit that is focused on areas that are most likely to pose a compliance risk.

NOTE: Attendees of this workshop will receive one free license to use Symphony’s Supplier Audit and Assessment Tool, which is excel based and designed for auditing your contract manufacturers and subassembly component suppliers (a $150.00 value).

What you will learn:

Segment and prioritize your suppliers based on risk

Identify important areas on which you should focus your audit

Understand the key terms in your supply agreements that must be modified to reflect your supplier’s compliance obligations

Who should attend:
Individuals in operations, materials, procurement, supply chain and commodity management, program management, engineering, and others who are responsible for selecting, managing, and auditing suppliers.
